Inden Danmarkspremieren er forestillingen “Good Enough?” i Edinburgh og har verdenspremiere på The Edinburgh Festival Fringe som afholdes fra den 7-31/8 2026.
Music Magazine was invited to a intern show at Bora Bora, just before the dancers took off to Scotland. The performance is in english, so our review is reflecting that.
If you haven’t looked at the program for Aarhus Festuge yet, and even if you have, and still haven’t discovered the possibility to book and watch the performance “Good Enough?” then the is now a calling, and a sign, for you to go see!
REAL LIFE
It is the most honest show I by far has seen, and I have seen a lot.
I am amazed about the development in performance and it is the first sign of a movement toward completely, stripped vulnerability, where everything you are, every corner of your body and whatever trauma you have lived, is disposed and shown in a performance.
Here I know, some would say or think: “Bullshit -we are used to that in television, podcasts, performances and whatnot”.
You’re right!
We are…-a lot of art, is based on true stories.
I will say this again: This is by far, the most honest performance I witnessed.
-It is not a play, where it is acted.
-This is not a play, where you as a dancer are inspired or directed to show feelings, you can relate to.
-This is the real shit!
The three dancers Aris Papadopoulos, Paola Drera and Theo Marion are who they are, as dancers, as human beings, performing in front of us, as you and I.
Yes it is a performance to start with, and yes you walk into it with the normal setting and expectation of the roles, we know we have.
I am a part of the audience, I sit and watch, I experience something while the performance is played live, by the actors at the stage.
There is normally a professional distance even though, going to see a live played show, is always very special.
We know that it is a performance where we go along with the idea of watching “reality” and sometimes, the acting is so good, that we get very carried away with emotions.

SPOILER
Here… at Bora Bora, in this play, the acting is real or you could say, there is no acting.
I don’t know it, when I walk in and I don’t know that, when I`m greeted by Aris, that he is actually meeting me as him, like I am meeting him as me.
I get the sense of it.
I do recall thinking, that it was very present, the way the dancer came and gave me his hand to greet me and introducing himself by name, but maybe the performance wasn’t really started.
And when it did, I was confused about who of the dancers was Andreas, cause I could hear his voice.
I love that the confusion is something which is not explained, but you are left with the play trusting, that you will understand when you do.
You will understand in retrospect.
That also calls to the urge of wanting to see the play again, to see how it is understood a second time, when you know what you know, already seen it once.
Now I am nice…I am NOT, spoiling it all.
You really do have to go see, what it does to you.
MIRROR
When you sit in your private life with people who share their stories, their sorrows and happiness, you often feel the shared emotions and get affected.
Most of us do.
The way we get affected, can also be a part of, what we experienced ourselves.
In that way we both mirror the person in front of us and also ourselves, if we give in and allow it.
It is also a huge opportunity to get closer to the one we share stories with, it is a well known truth, that the ones that knows our stories and carries them with loyalty, love and respect will also be possible, to be the ones, we get a special bond with.
The honesty, the unperfect life, the vulnerability is a stripped dare and you have everything to gain and it feels like so easy to loose and be rejected, by showing true color.
This is what`s on stake, the director Andreas Constantinou has guided himself and his dancers to be who they are and made it into a performance, where we will ask the question. Why not?
Why not be honest, vulnerable and true to ourselves and our surroundings about the validation and love we want.
Why hide?
First as a new born we need that love, to survive. A baby without access to another caring warm body will die from lack of that, before dying of lack of nutrition.
Later, the child seeks attention and validation within the family tribe
As a grown up, most people will neglect how much we seek that still, even though love and belonging, makes our world.
INTERVIEW
Andreas Constantinou tells in the interview with me to Music Magazine, that he aim for being dead honest in whatever part of society you look, bodywise, social, politically, a way of being in the world.
That is grand and what a aim, I want to be part of that!
The performance left us the audience moved, many in tears and it is a amazing piece.
I left Bora Bora with a boost of wanting life even more now and also in a big need of a hug!
I AM ENOUGH, YOU ARE ENOUGH, WE ARE ALL GOOD ENOUGH. DON`T TRY – JUST BE WHO YOU ARE.
It is in no doubt, a six star piece and – hold your horses, it is a very intense play that requires courage and a braveheart.
